On the afternoon of October 15, an offline academic exchange activity for ideological and political course was successfully held on the third floor of the Qi Zhen Building in Chang'an Campus, with the theme of how to effectively read ideological and political texts. Professor Lu Jie from School of Marxism was invited as the keynote speaker, and more than 20 students actively participated in this exchange activity.
Professor Lu Jiestarted the lecture with a famous saying, that is, "If you have an apple and so do I, after exchanging with each other, we still have an apple respectively. However, if you have an idea and so do I, after exchanging with each other, we will have two ideas or more”. He explained the theme and importance of this salon activity, and also expressed his ardent expectations for the students.
During the lecture, Professor Lu Jie shared the details of reading ideological and political texts and various skills to improve reading efficiency with humorous language.He suggested that students should take notes, make good use of reference books, overcome the obscurity of original works, strengthen their theoretical foundation, and analyze and solve problems from the perspective of Marxism, which were the things that all students needed to master.
At the end of this salon activity, everyone said that they have gained a lot. What's more, students have had a heated exchange and discussion with the teacher combined with their own problems and experience. Huang Qingtao also shared his own feelings, saying that we must read the original work with our own questions and thoughts.
